Susanne Pirone
Pronouns: She / Her / Hers
Susanne Pirone joined Mission Partners in 2018 with a 15-year background in corporate social responsibility. At Mission Partners, she has masterfully executed several corporate/nonprofit partnerships—creating opportunities for new funding, increased engagement and employee activation.
Susanne’s experience includes directing key community relations programs for the Fannie Mae Foundation and Corporation, having responsibility for the Help the Homeless grants program and walkathon, the WAVE employee volunteer program, and the Housin’ 2000 commitment to America’s Promise. She also held primary responsibility for the Foundation’s community service grant making.
Prior to her work at the Fannie Mae Foundation, Susanne was a member of the Corporate Community Service team at The Points of Light Foundation, where she supported clients nationwide in the development and management of CSR and employee volunteer programs. There, she assisted in the creation of the Principles of Excellence, a strategic guide for companies and nonprofit organizations interested in creating strategic community relations programs.
With a strong background in communications, training, project and event management, and grant making, Susanne will draw on her experience working in both the for profit and nonprofit sectors, in helping partners create, strengthen, and sustain community service and corporate social responsibility programs. Susanne is a graduate of Denison University, the mother of three young children, and an active volunteer.
