Susanne Pirone joined Mission Partners in 2018 with a 15-year background in corporate social responsibility. At Mission Partners, she has masterfully executed corporate/nonprofit partnerships — creating opportunities for new funding, increased impact, and augmented employee engagement and activation.
Susanne’s recent experience includes serving as Interim Director, Content and Learning at Association of Corporate Citizenship Professionals, where she managed CSR technical assistance requests, developed a strategy for customized trainings and programs, and provided programmatic and topical guidance for ACCP’s annual conference. Her past experience also includes directing key community relations programs for the Fannie Mae Foundation and Corporation, having responsibility for signature programs including the Help the Homeless grants program and walkathon, and WAVE employee volunteer program. She also held primary responsibility for the Foundation’s community service grantmaking.
With a strong background in CSR, partnerships, communications, training, project and event management, and grantmaking, Susanne draws on her experience working in both the for profit and nonprofit sectors, in helping partners create, strengthen, and sustain community partnerships and corporate social responsibility programs.
Susanne is a graduate of Denison University. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband Mark and her three children, Caroline, Peter, and Christopher, as well as playing tennis, running, and spending time at the beach. Depending on the season, you can find her watching her kids’ games either on a lacrosse field, or at a hockey rink.
