Nimra Haroon is a Senior Strategist at Mission Partners, a woman-owned, B Corp social impact agency. In her role, Nimra guides purpose-driven clients to achieving their greatest impact by centering justice, equity, diversity and inclusion through communications strategies, messaging and campaigns. She does this by leveraging her experiences and education in marketing, public relations, cultural strategy, social impact and equity analyses. Before joining Mission Partners, Nimra worked to support organizations across a variety of issue areas, including arts and culture, healthcare innovation and access, reproductive health rights, vehicle safety, poverty narration, senior caregiving and sustainability. She previously worked at GMMB, a cause-based agency, where she managed media relations, strategized campaigns and administered account teams. 

Nimra is a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP), a national credential accredited by the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, where she underwent a rigorous leadership development program that includes coursework, applied learning practices, service-learning activities, and a field-engaged internship that cultivated core workforce competencies of the social sector. Through this, she worked with the City of Houston’s local arts and culture organization – Houston Arts Alliance (HAA)to develop a civic art promotional digital strategy for Super Bowl LI and other events, evaluated legal and ethical implications of HAA’s online donor system, and published content celebrating Houston’s cultural landscape. 

Nimra stays active with organizations that serve people in the creative industries, specifically committed to centering voices and identities of BIPOC and womxn, including ADCOLOR, MAIP, ColorComm, SheRunsIt and Women Who Create. Nimra completed her undergraduate studies at University of Houston in Communications, Advertising and Energy and Sustainability and her graduate studies in Integrated Marketing Communications at Georgetown University, where she earned a certificate in Cause Consulting through the Center for Social Impact Communication. Nimra is a self-proclaimed chef and a basketball fanatic. She honors her Pakistani-American-Texan identity and lives in the Washington, DC area.
