Pronouns: she/her/hers
Kate Moroney is a 2026 Social Impact Fellow with a passion for public health, strategic communications, and advocacy. Kate brings integrity, humanity, ingenuity, and collaboration to every project she undertakes.
She recently graduated in May 2026 from Loyola University Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics. Kate contributes her love for mission-driven work partly to her time at this Jesuit institution, where she was encouraged to care for the whole person, support social justice, and dive into interdisciplinary studies. While she cherished her time learning in the classroom, she was eager to pursue real-world opportunities during her studies. Most recently, she interned with a D.C. public affairs firm that manages health care coalitions and advocacy groups and spent a summer on Capitol Hill, where she advocated for health care policies aimed at expanding patient access and supporting innovations in cancer care. She is looking forward to supporting many more public health initiatives at Mission Partners.
With experience in federal and state policymaking, digital strategies, strategic communications, public affairs, and advocacy management, Kate hopes to continue uplifting the voices of teams by using communications to help mission-driven organizations engage audiences, advance their goals, and create meaningful impact. She is particularly excited to strengthen her writing skills and develop her voice as a communicator, enabling her to craft narratives that resonate with diverse audiences and inspire meaningful dialogue.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys spending time in nature and traveling the world with her family and friends. When Kate is not on her computer, she is usually at the beach, trying a new restaurant, or oil painting. Having lived in four different cities, Kate has developed high adaptability, deep cultural empathy, and broad problem-solving skills. Kate currently lives on Long Island, New York.
