Our story starts with an idea and continues with impact.

Mission Partners was founded on the belief that business can be a force for good — and that nonprofits, foundations, and purpose-driven organizations deserve a communications partner who brings the same rigor, strategy, and care to every mission we serve. Here's how we got here.

  • 2017 — Founded.

    Carrie Fox, founder of the boutique firm C.Fox Communications launched Mission Partners on January 1, bringing forward her strategic communications expertise with an even deeper focus on purpose.

  • 2020 — Our first public commitment.

    At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mission Partners publicly pledged $50,000 in pro bono resources to historically under-invested-in organizations — the start of what would become an ongoing commitment to community investment.

  • 2021 — Certified.

    Mission Partners became a Certified B Corporation™ and a Certified Women-Owned Business®, formalizing the values on which the firm was built.

  • 2023 — Employee ownership.

    Marking seven years in business, Carrie Fox expanded the firm's ownership team to include senior leaders who helped build Mission Partners, alongside an expanded leadership bench.

  • 2025 — Exceeding our stretch goal.

    Mission Partners announced it had surpassed its $2.5M stretch goal for pro bono and capital investment, reaching $2.86M distributed since 2020 across pro bono support to nonprofits, investments in historically under-invested-in vendors and partners, and direct donations.

  • Today.

    Mission Partners continues as an award-winning, woman-owned strategic communications firm working exclusively with nonprofits, foundations, and purpose-driven organizations. The organization is recognized as a Real Leaders Top Impact Company, a Mental Health America Platinum Bell Seal employer, and home to Mission Forward, Carrie Fox's national educational platform and podcast for purpose-driven leaders.

The mission hasn't changed. The impact keeps growing.

From our founding through today, Mission Partners has stayed close to the same idea we started with: that the organizations doing the most important work deserve a partner who shows up with care, courage, and clarity.
