Rachel Ware is a Manager at Mission Partners, a women-owned Certified B Corporation and social impact communications firm. Rachel’s expertise lies at the intersection of brand development, communications strategy, and graphic design. In their role, they partner with purpose-driven organizations to propel their missions through clear, people-centered communications.
Rachel’s approach is characterized by curiosity, humor, and an unwavering commitment to equity, accessibility, and plain language. Whether engaging in writing, design, or project operations, Rachel gets the most joy from collaborating with colleagues and clients to uncover new ways of thinking, organizing information, and delivering a message.
Before joining Mission Partners, Rachel led the North Carolina media and communications strategy for NextGen America, the nation’s largest youth voter turnout organization, during the 2020 elections. They began their career in environmental justice campaigns and community organizing, instilling an organizer mindset that Rachel brings to every project.
Rachel earned their bachelor’s degree in public policy studies at Duke University. Outside of work, they serve as Board Co-Chair of Toxic Free NC, an organization that advances environmental justice and public health by fighting pesticide pollution and exposure. Rachel lives in Durham, NC with their husband, Spencer, and their two cats, whose tails make frequent Zoom appearances.
