The award, announced by The Montgomery County Commission for Women and Montgomery Women, recognizes outstanding women in Montgomery County, Maryland for their leadership and service to their vocation and community.

She also co-authored Adventures in Kindness, an adventure book driving positive change in communities around the world, with her now 11-year-old daughter, Sophia Fox.
