Anne Kerns
Pronouns: She / Her / Hers
Anne knows that design can be a key driver in communicating ideas and messages both implicitly and explicitly. She uses visual communication strategies to help organizations achieve their mission and advance their brand. Having worked across the spectrum for Fortune 500s, nonprofits, government, and sole proprietors, Anne is most fulfilled when working with people and organizations dedicated to improving our world.
Anne has worked for large and small organizations in the DC region and beyond for over 20 years, on nearly every type of graphic design project in either a design, production, or managerial capacity. While print design is her first love, she has also been involved in digital, animation, web, packaging, and 3D projects. Overseeing and designing for comprehensive brand identity is a specialty.
Anne is a longtime member of AIGA, the professional association for design, and completed their executive business certificate program, Business Perspectives for Creative Leaders, in partnership with Yale School of Management. She has a BS from the University of Maryland and has taught graphic design courses there and at George Mason University. Anne received the Lifetime Member Award from the (now sunset) Art Directors Club of Metropolitan Washington, DC, and her work has been recognized by Graphic Design USA. Anne is on the Design Continuum Fund endowment committee, a scholarship program to increase diversity in the design profession.
