When I set out to launch Mission Partners in 2017—nearly 14 years after launching C.Fox Communications—I had a vision to build something far greater than another communications or strategy firm.  Together, with some very special people, our vision was to create a new kind of business, one that was inextricably linked to our commitment to sustainable, strong and equitable communities.

I am proud of the foundation we’ve built and the company we keep. And today, I am especially proud to launch our first ever social impact report as a Certified B Corporation®.

We cemented our commitment to social impact by amending our operating agreement and re-incorporating as a Benefit LLC in the state of Maryland.

We reduced our carbon footprint via 1200 public transportation commutes and 780 miles of bicycle commutes to the office.

Mission Partners worked on nearly 40 social impact projects in 2018 across our five core issue areas of social and economic justice, education and workforce preparedness, healthy communities, journalism and the arts, and women and girls.  Services were provided to organizations such as the Association of Children’s Museums, The College Success Foundation, The Heising-Simons Foundation, Jubilee Housing, The Platform of Hope, the DC Bar Foundation, The National Park Foundation, and NPR.

Mission Partners also made a significant commitment to build out its racial justice offerings, starting with the hire of Becky George as our Director of Community Engagement, who oversees all programming within our Mission Forward® brand.  We introduced new Equity + Design Thinking Days, Race and Identity Workshops, and we held two community convenings that amplified underrepresented voices on issues of immigration, inclusion and gender equity.
