Kate joins Mission Partners as a Fellow with an interest in social marketing and a background with non-profits and advocacy work. Prior to Mission Partners Kate was a congressional intern for Congresswoman Katherine Clark at the House of Representatives. During her time on the hill, Kate attended briefings and gained hands on research experience on relevant issues and happenings in education, women’s health care, energy and environment, and gun safety.
Currently, Kate, supports Mission Partners’ social media channels, development of social media content, media list research, opinion research, development and organizational research, project management, client side work, writing, copywriting, and editing.
Kate formerly served as a Youth Activation Committee Member, State Representative, and long-time volunteer for Special Olympics Delaware and Special Olympics PROJECT UNIFY, a school-based initiative to create opportunities for authentic social inclusion for individuals with intellectual disabilities through inclusive sports, youth leadership and advocacy, and whole school engagement. Kate attended Special Olympics USA Games and Youth Summit and the Special Olympics National Leadership Conference. She led school and state-wide campaigns such as, ‘Unified Day’, local leadership summits, ‘The Polar Bear Plunge’, and ‘Spread the Word to End the Word’. Kate is in her final year at American University majoring in Public Relations and Strategic Communications with a minor in Theatre.
