A self-proclaimed wordsmith, storyteller and journalist by trade, Christina Kposowa joins Mission Partners with more than a decade of experience in strategic communications and corporate social responsibility. In her consulting role, she offers both vision and passion for simplifying how businesses and non-profit organizations communicate with the audiences critical to their success.
Christina began her career at APCO Worldwide, a global communications agency based in Washington, DC, where she helped grow the agency’s corporate responsibility practice while simultaneously managing multi-million dollar issues and advocacy campaigns for Fortune 100 companies and large non-profit organizations. She has a wealth of experience in organizational branding, executive positioning, media outreach and community relations. She has also led the deployment crisis response strategies for some of the world’s largest corporations.
Most recently, Christina was Director of Communications at McLean Bible Church, the largest church in the Mid-Atlantic region with five campuses and more than 13,000 attendees weekly. In this role, she provided oversight to all the organization’s communications efforts including external positioning efforts and visual and creative production.
Christina earned her degree in journalism from The University of Maryland, College Park with a citation in the College Park Scholars’ Media, Self & Society Program. She currently resides in the Washington, DC metropolitan area with her husband and sons.
