Anna Sczepanski


Anna manages strategic communications, media relations, and message development across a wide variety of clients and topic areas. Since 2014, she has overseen strategic communications campaigns for a variety of events that have attracted thousands of attendees and national acclaim including Children’s National Health System’s Race for Every Child, the first-ever National Math Festival, Covenant House Washington’s Executive Sleep Out and Points of Light’s Conference on Volunteering and Service. Anna has also led content development for major year-end fundraising appeals.

Anna frequently leads research initiatives and has coordinated the release of new reports from Change the Equation, Washington Area Women’s Foundation, AARP Driver Safety, AIDS United, and the annual Civic 50 list of the most community-minded companies in America. Her tenacity for telling stories that inspire positive social change has earned her clients coverage in top media outlets including Bloomberg, CNBC, Washington Post, The Guardian, Buzzfeed, TIME and NPR.

Earlier in her career, Anna interned at Heather Freeman Public Relations and served as a publicist for some of Washington, D.C.’s most renowned restaurants and chefs, including José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup restaurants. She also interned with the Cartoonist Rights Network International.

Anna graduated from American University and frequently returns to her alma mater to guest lecture.
